Fifth Wheel Transportation’s Owner-Operator Program is designed for experienced owner-operators and small fleet owners who want control, transparency, and a carrier partnership that respects their business.
This is a self-dispatch model. You choose how and where you operate, manage your lanes, and run your truck the way you see fit. In return, we provide a compliant carrier platform, clear settlement structure, and a pay model that rewards safe, consistent, and professional operations.
Operators start at 88% of gross revenue, with the opportunity to scale up to 92% through performance milestones. There are no gimmicks or confusing pay tiers — just a straightforward structure that aligns incentives with long-term success.
Our focus is not on volume at any cost. We work with owner-operators who understand that profitability comes from smart load selection, cost control, safety, and reliability. If you are looking for forced dispatch, hidden incentives, or a “one-size-fits-all” program, this will not be the right fit.
Fifth Wheel Transportation exists to support owner-operators who treat trucking as a business. If you value independence, accountability, and clear numbers, our program was built with you in mind.

Fifth Wheel Transportation works with owner-operators and fleet owners who understand that professional standards protect profitability, safety scores, and long-term business stability. Our expectations are straightforward and designed to support operators who take their business seriously.
These expectations are not obstacles — they are guardrails. They protect your operation, our carrier network, and the reputation that allows professional owner-operators to continue earning at a high level.
If you value accountability, safety, and operating at a professional standard, you will find this program to be a strong long-term fit.
This program is built for owner-operators who value independence, transparency, and accountability.
If that describes your operation, the next step is to review the numbers and have a direct conversation with our recruiting team.

Additionally a clear path to earn up to 92% is provided to everyone. This structure is designed to reward consistent production, safe operations, and professional performance — not short-term volume or gimmicks.
Operators begin at 88% and have the opportunity to increase their percentage over time by meeting defined performance milestones. Percentage increases are earned, not promised, and are tied to the same fundamentals that build a strong trucking business: reliability, safety, and sustained revenue.
There are no confusing tiers, “gotcha” thresholds, or temporary promotional rates. Your percentage is based on how you operate, not how long you’ve been marketed to.
Every milestones are reviewed during the recruiting and onboarding process, increases are generally tied to:

Every operation is different. During the recruiting and onboarding process, available options are reviewed so you can select the programs that make sense for your business — and decline the ones that do not.
Our goal is to provide flexibility without complexity, allowing owner-operators to focus on running profitable, compliant operations.

In addition to the base pay structure, Fifth Wheel Transportation offers performance-based bonuses and incentives designed to reward operators who run safe, compliant, and professional operations. These incentives are not giveaways — they are earned through the same behaviors that protect profitability and long-term success.

Bonuses are tied to real performance, not temporary promotions.
